Environmental Practices
From the maple, cherry or oak tree in the forest, to the kitchen, bath or library in your home- Yorktowne Cabinetry is determined to minimize our impact on the environment, each and every step of the way.
Yorktowne has been awarded certification in the KCMA Environemental Stewardship Program
100% of hardwood waste is captured and salvaged to be used to produce renewable, premium wood products for other markets
All scrap wood at our Dimension Mill is used to heat the plant in the winter and fire our dry kilns throughout the year
Air filters capable of 99.9% cleaning efficiency can re-circulate the air used for dust extraction and deliver back to the plant for re-use saving as much as 58,000 gallons of heating oil
Materials used in the construction and and finish of Yorktowne cabinetry comply with Federal Guidelines of the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments and the industry specific MACT standard
Products are tested and certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Association under ANSI Standard A161.1

 Quartersawn Oak Wood Species
|

The defining wood species of the Arts & Crafts and Mission movements, Quartersawn Oak has come to be identified with fine period furniture pieces. As its name implies, Quartersawn oak is quartered and then cut at a 60 to 90 degree angle to the growth ring of the tree. This process exposes distinctive golden rays that randomly fleck across the vertical, close-knit grain pattern.
Available in Serenity, Stockton, Simplicity, & Hearthside door styles.
Available in Natural, Toffee, Roselle, Carmel, Chestnut, & Sorrel finishes.

Accenting on Silver Door Styles
|
Create a one of a kind look with stylish accenting for Silver door styles. All new Brindle and Opal accents highlight the beauty of your cabinetry by defining select portions of doors, drawers, and moldings. The Brindle accent highlights and enhances the profile of the door with a rich black pen-glaze, while the Opal accents does so with a silky gray glaze.
Accenting is available on all Silver door styles (except Thermo Foil) and select accessory items.
Accenting can be used in combination with our standard finishes and with Premium Designer finishes in maple.

Introducing Springhill. The first full overlay, flat panel door style in our Silver collection. Stylishly traditional with a veneer recessed panel, its mitered beaded frame is solid cherry, maple or oak. The single piece drawer front adds just the right touch, bringing you classic design at a practical price.

Yorktowne's new Metropolitan slab door style in cherry, maple and oak creates a
tantalizing visual with its unique application of rift cut wood veneers.

A plain, square edge slab door with no ornamentation, Metropolitan creates its own drama and is available in a full palette of finishes to complement any decor. The wall cabinets shown here (Cherry in Garnet finish) are paired with Maple in a painted Onyx finish and the look is spectacular. Metropolitan is featured in our Signature Collection.

Stockton, one of Yorktowne's most versatile door styles, is now available in Hickory
and Oak as well as Cherry and Maple.

Hickory's dramatic wood grain pattern has been tamed by Yorktowne's elegant Stockton styling and rich Toffee finish. The high end furniture look is achieved using specialty cabinet shapes, decorative accents and a Wood Hood from our Gourmet Furniture Collection. The 1900's Hoosier style cabinetry on the right is a work of art as well as a practical work center.
